Youth Visits to Campus

Every youth visit is planned with intention and can be customized to meet the specific interests and requests of each group. The Community Enhancement Coordinator will work closely with schools/community organizations to plan activities and focus areas that best suit their students.

Sample schedule of Campus visit:

• Welcome and Introduction: Learn about the Indigenous Student Centre and its supports.
• Campus Tour: Explore the campus and discover key spots most important to Indigenous students.
• Cultural Workshop: Take part in a hands-on activity.
• Lunch and Social Time: Connect with Indigenous students and staff.
• Student Panel: Hear stories from current Indigenous students about their university journey.
• Faculty-Led Learning: Dive into interactive sessions on different academic topics.

This event is intended for Indigenous students between grades 4-12. Educators/chaperones must accompany students on this trip.

Schools/community organizations are responsible for arranging transportation for their students. The Indigenous Student Centre can support planning and help organize meals or workshop activities, but any costs for food or materials are the responsibility of the school.

Schools/community organizations are responsible for coordinating their visit directly with the ISC. ISC staff will help plan the schedule, workshops, and lunch arrangements.
