Support for Indigenous Graduate Students
The Indigenous Graduate Student Coordinator leads a peer-based support network for Indigenous graduate students at Western University aimed at facilitating transition, retention and completion of Indigenous students in graduate studies.
The Coordinator position is a part-time role held by a current Indigenous student at Western University. The position is funded by the Indigenous Student Centre and the Society of Graduate Students (SOGS). The Coordinator reports to the SOGS Council at least once per term regarding Indigenous Graduate student concerns and leads the SOGS Indigenous Commission.
