Welcome to Western’s Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII)!

The Office of Indigenous Initiatives (OII) was established as part of Western University’s commitment to strengthening Indigenous presence, perspectives, and leadership across all areas of work, study, and research.

Our team works collaboratively to advance equitable outcomes for Indigenous Peoples, support campus partners in implementing Western’s Indigenous Strategic Plan, and contribute to a university environment where Indigenous students, staff, faculty, and community members feel welcomed and supported.
