The Office of Indigenous Initiatives maintains ongoing engagement with Indigenous communities locally and nationally via staff representation across various councils and committees. Established in 1995, the Indigenous Postsecondary Education Council (IPEC) provides a vital forum for the University to seek guidance and strengthen relationships with Indigenous communities on postsecondary education matters.
